Happy half term to all my friends who work in education. I am so happy I’m getting a much needed break! It’s been a long 7 weeks!
This week I will be mostly organising my last party bits ready for the big birthday bash! I’m super excited and can not wait to dress up and have a dance with my friends. Turning 30 ain’t so bad! I am going to have a practice doing my hair and makeup… galaxy style! If anyone has any ideas let me know, I’m thinking space buns and glitter, Princess Leia style. I’m loving the galaxy coloured face jewels I picked up from Primark! They were a bargain and will add the finishing touches to my outfit.
I am also going to add some Halloween touches to my home and to Isaac’s grave. I just love Halloween and I can not wait to get the pumpkins out! I need some new candles and some more fairy lights to make it a bit more cosy and ready for some chilled nights this week with my house mate. I want to be brave and watch some scary horror films and series. But I’m a big wimp and will probably chicken out… I’ll keep you posted.
Over these past couple of weeks I have completed a Pediatric First Aid course as part of my continual professional development at work. And I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I wanted to write a little bit about it as I learned so much in just 2 days and I believe it is super important for people to have some basic first aid knowledge. I am definitely going to put myself forward for the adult course.
The instructor was absolutely amazing. She had so much knowledge and a real passion for first aid and the importance of the role and responsibilities we have in an emergency situation. Hopefully I won’t have to use it… but if I do I feel I have the confidence now to help out and support someone in need!
Is anyone up to anything exciting this week? I’d love to go pumpkin picking but I don’t think I am going to have the time.
Have a fantastic half term!
Thanks for reading.
