Blog 22 – 30 books for 30

This is my ‘to read‘ list. It was extremely difficult to only put 30 in. I wanted to keep in with the ’30’ theme though and be realistic with how much free time I actually have. I don’t really have a favourite genre so it’s just a bit of everything that I am desperate to read or have been meaning to get round to.

1. Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine – Gail Honeyman

This was given to me by my boss at work, she thoroughly recommended it.

2. Big Little Lies – Liane Moriarty

I’ve been meaning to watch the TV series but I want to give the book a go first.

3. Ask Me His Name – Elle Wright

This book is going to be like reading about my own life…

4. Space Atlas – Tom Jackson

I want to learn more about space. It just fascinates me! I got this book for my birthday.

5. The Casual Vacancy – J.K. Rowling

It’s J.K. enough said.

6. Two By Two – Nicholas Sparks

My guilty pleasure.

7. The Last Wish – Andrzej Sapkowski

This seems right up my street.

8. The Haunting Of Hill House – Shirley Jackson

I tried the Netflix series. And I failed. It was too jumpy and I had too many questions. I hope the book has the answers.

9. Origin – Dan Brown

I just love Robert Langdon.

10. Why The Whales Came – Michael Morpurgo

My childhood favourite. I haven’t read it since I was in school.

 11. The Unlikely Pilgrimage Of Harold Fry – Rachel Joyce

I think Rachel Joyce is a beautiful writer.

12. The Shining – Stephen King

A classic.

13. Norse Mythology – Neil Gaiman

I’m becoming obsessed with things like this.

14. The Princess Diarist – Carrie Fisher

My woman. I love her.

15. A Brief History Of Time – Stephen Hawking

The infamous book. I want to know more about the universe.

16. The Handmaid’s Tale – Margaret Atwood

It’s such an intriguing story.

17. Misery – Stephen King

I loved the film.

18. The Muse – Jessie Burton

I was given this my by my aunt. We enjoyed The Miniaturist

19. The Secret – Rhona Byrne

Apparently this will change my life.

20. Fire and Blood – George R.R. Martin

I want to be a Targaryen.

21. Mythos – Stephen Fry

A British Legend in my eyes.

22. Any Manga… please recommend something… I don’t know where to start.

23. To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before – Jenny Han

I love this concept.

24. Divergent – Veronica Roth

If you like The Hunger Games and Twilight… you’ll love this. Well I love them both.

25. The Winter Ghosts – Kate Mosse

I really enjoyed The Taxidermists Daughter.

26. His Dark Materials – Philip Pullman

I’ve always wanted to step into this world.

27. The Wrecking Crew – John Ferak

Free Steven Avery.

28. The Fall of Gondolin – J.R.R. Tolkien

LOTR is one of my all time favourites.

29. Crazy Rich Asians – Kevin Kwan

This looks funny.

30. Making Rumours – Ken Caillat and Steve Stiefel

Fleetwood Mac are the best. the soundtrack to my heart.
